Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-25
1. General rule
pepito is a digital product delivered immediately upon purchase: as soon as your payment is confirmed, you receive your license key by email and can download and activate the App. Because delivery is instant and the digital content is fully usable from that moment, no commercial refund is granted by default after activation.
Your statutory rights under French consumer law — notably the legal warranties of conformity (Articles L217-3 et seq. of the Code de la consommation) and the warranty against hidden defects (Article 1641 of the Code civil) — and any other mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected by this policy.
2. EU 14-day right of withdrawal — express waiver at checkout
For consumers located in the European Union, Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and Article L221-28 12° of the French Code de la consommation provide that the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to the supply of digital content if the consumer has expressly consented to the immediate performance of the contract and acknowledged the loss of the right of withdrawal.
At checkout, you are asked to expressly consent to the immediate delivery of pepito and to waive your 14-day right of withdrawal. By ticking that dedicated checkbox and confirming your purchase, you acknowledge that delivery begins immediately and that you lose your right of withdrawal.
If, by exception, you did not tick the waiver checkbox at checkout, you retain your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. To exercise it, contact us within 14 days of your purchase, providing your Paddle order ID; we will instruct Paddle to refund your order.
Professional buyers (B2B): professional buyers do not benefit from the 14-day right of withdrawal, except for micro-businesses with five or fewer employees purchasing pepito outside their main field of activity (Article L221-3 of the French Code de la consommation). Eligible micro-businesses may exercise the right of withdrawal under the same conditions as consumers, subject to the same waiver mechanism at checkout.
3. Discretionary refunds
Even after the right of withdrawal has been waived, we may grant a refund at our discretion in exceptional circumstances, including:
- a confirmed bug that prevents the App from working on your supported configuration and that we cannot fix in a reasonable time;
- a duplicate charge or proven payment error;
- a clearly fraudulent or unauthorised purchase made on your card.
Refund requests may be refused if they are demonstrably abusive — for example, repeated refund requests after extensive use of the App, requests filed long after activation without justification, or false statements about the product's functionality.
When a refund is granted, the license is considered terminated under section 10 of our Terms and Conditions. You agree to uninstall the App and stop using the license key. Continued use after refund constitutes a breach of these terms and a copyright infringement.
4. How to request a refund
Email us at legal@sodadi.fr, including:
- your Paddle order ID (visible in the receipt email Paddle sent you);
- the email address used to purchase pepito;
- a brief description of your situation.
You may also contact Paddle directly via paddle.net, where you can manage your orders and request a refund.
We acknowledge refund requests within 3 business days and respond with a decision within 14 days at the latest. If your request requires additional information from you, this delay starts again from the date you provide it.
Approved refunds are processed by Paddle. Funds typically arrive on your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Invoices and VAT: all invoices are issued by Paddle in their capacity as Merchant of Record. To download or correct your invoice (e.g. add your VAT number, business name or billing address), use the Paddle buyer portal at paddle.net.
5. Paddle's refund policy
Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders, Paddle's own refund policy also applies to your purchase.
6. Dispute resolution
If you believe a refund decision is unfair, please first try to resolve it with us by email. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
7. Publisher
pepito is published by SODADI, EURL incorporated under French law. Full company identification (share capital, registered office, RCS, SIRET, intra-EU VAT) is available in the Terms and Conditions.
